Total Time 6 minutes
Servings: 1 servings
Course: Dessert
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 0.25 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch salt
  • 2 tbsp chocolate chips or other mix-ins

Equipment

  • Microwave-safe mug
  • Measuring spoons
  • Fork or small whisk

Method

  1. In a microwave-safe mug, combine the flour, sugar, and salt. Mix well to ensure even distribution of dry ingredients.
  2. Add the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the mug. Stir until a smooth batter forms. Trust me, this is the key to a uniform texture.
  3. Fold in the chocolate chips or your preferred mix-ins. Make sure they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  4. Microwave on high for about 1 minute. Cooking times may vary depending on your microwave, so keep an eye on it. The cookie should be set but still slightly gooey in the center.
  5. Let the mug cookie cool for a minute or two before enjoying. You can top it with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra treat.

Notes

Chef's Tips:
• For a richer flavor, use brown sugar instead of white sugar.
• Avoid over-microwaving to prevent a dry cookie; check after 50 seconds if unsure.
• Serve with a cold glass of milk for the perfect pairing.
Food Safety:
• Ensure the mug is microwave-safe to avoid any hazards.
• Consume the cookie within a day for best quality.
