Ingredients
  

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

  6. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are lightly golden. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
