Ingredients

  • 1 cup cups cottage cheese full-fat or low-fat, drained
  • 1 egg large
  • 1/2 cup cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/4 cup cups parmesan cheese grated
  • 1/2 cup cups almond flour
  • 1 tsp tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp tsp garlic powder
  • Pinch salt

Equipment

  • Food processor
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. In a food processor, combine the cottage cheese, egg, mozzarella, and parmesan. Blend until smooth. This mixture will be the base of your crust.
  3. Transfer the cheese mixture to a bowl and stir in the almond flour, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt until well combined.
  4. Spread the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, forming a 10-inch circle. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and firm to the touch.
  5. Remove the crust from the oven, add your favorite toppings, and return to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until toppings are heated through and cheese is melted. Slice and serve hot.

Notes

Chef's Tips:
• For a crispier crust, bake the base longer before adding toppings.
• Avoid overmixing the dough to prevent a tough crust.
• Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
Food Safety:
• Ensure the crust reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) to ensure it's fully cooked.
• Store leftovers in the refrigerator within two hours of cooking.
